Company information

Registered and verified through Dun & Bradstreet, supporting trusted business identity and credibility.

The App is intended for electrical engineers and technicians. This policy describes how information is handled when you use it, including short-circuit calculations, an ampacity reference table, optional saved calculation records, and optional iCloud Sync of those records on Apple devices.

Information we do not collect

The App does not require you to create an account with us. We do not operate a login service in the App, and we do not intentionally collect your name or email address through the App itself.

Data stored on your device

Saved calculations. When you choose to save a calculation, the App stores those records locally on your device in an on-device database. Saved data can include labels you enter (such as a description), electrical inputs (for example voltage, transformer size, cable length and size), and calculated results. This data stays on your device unless you copy it, share it through a feature you use, or enable iCloud Sync as described below.

Removing saved data. You can delete individual saved records inside the App. Uninstalling the App removes locally stored app data from your device, subject to how your device and operating system handle backups. Records already synced to iCloud may remain in your iCloud account until you delete them in the App on a device with iCloud Sync enabled, or until you manage that data through your Apple account.

iCloud Sync and CloudKit

On Apple devices, iCloud Sync is optional and off by default. If you enable it in Settings, the App uses Apple CloudKit to store and sync saved calculation records in the private CloudKit database associated with your Apple ID and this App.

Apple’s handling of iCloud data is described in Apple’s policies, including:

Clipboard

If you use a feature that copies text (for example, conductor or calculation-related information) to the clipboard, that content is placed in your device’s clipboard buffer and may be readable by other apps on your device according to your operating system rules.

PDF export

If a version of the App lets you export a saved record as a PDF, the App generates the file and you choose where to save it using your device’s system picker (for example, Downloads or cloud storage you select). We do not receive a copy of that file.

Advertising

The current App Store version does not display advertisements. Some other store listings or older versions may display banner advertisements through Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). Where ads are shown, the App may use network access and, where permitted by your device settings, an advertising-related identifier. Google may collect and process data in connection with ad delivery and measurement. Their use of data is described in Google’s policies, including:

You may be able to limit ad personalization or reset advertising identifiers through your device settings (for example, Google settings on Android).

Network access

The App may use the internet when you enable iCloud Sync (CloudKit) and, in versions that include advertising, to load ads. The App does not send your saved calculation records or your calculator inputs to Northeastern Software Services LLC as part of normal operation.

Backups

Your operating system may include app data in device backups according to your system and account backup settings (for example, Android backups or Apple device backups). That is separate from optional iCloud Sync via CloudKit and is controlled by your device and account settings, not by this policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date below will change when we publish revisions.
